GROWN UP

It is the second day of 2017. I am “home”, I decided not to spend New Year’s in EL again, I think it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I am reflecting on 2016 and I am HAPPY with the growth that came with it, bought my first car and got promoted at work. I am also relieved that 2016 came to an end, I got admitted into hospital for the first time, little did I know that I would be admitted twice for different reasons.

Had a “fight’ with one of the most important people in my life, towards the end of 2016 we made up, and I ended up not taking to another person I regard as important in my life. Both experiences took a toll on my emotions but I had to teach myself to be a grown up. I am still learning because I haven’t made up with the other person.

In 2017, I want to let go and live in the moment, I want to fall in love, I want to make time for the things and people I love, I want to do more and speak less about it, I want to invest in myself, I want my body to be in the best shape and I want to spend more time with GOD.

I am currently loving the feeling of contentment; I feel like a GROWN UP.

Women, we need to train ourselves to root for one another more.

2016 has been that year where I looked at what woke twitter feminists have been saying, before my patriarchy mind refused to believe that patriarchy exists, I just thought it is what it is and we are trying so hard to change history. I would stand on the side lines and watch feminist on social media going on about their activism without retweeting or sharing until I realised for a person like me who usually has an opinion about everything, I didn’t do much. Anyway this isn’t about that.

I had one of those experiences where someone told me what people said about me, I hardly have those, where I actually hear the negative things that are said about me, I sat there in disgust that people saw me that way but I had to swallow it. I went home feeling so defeated, I was thinking of ways to show them that I am not that person and that all I have accomplished was because of the work I put in.

I really wish women would root for each other and stop the whole putting each other down business, lets gas ourselves. You see the kind of gassing that we do in the women’s bathroom in clubs? That kind of rooting.

There is enough “cake” for all of us!

TO BE YOUNG AND CARE FREE

It has been FOREVER.

I have just gone through my old posts and boy! Did I go through a whole lot of emotions while going through them: Laughter, sadness, joy etc.I used to write everything moss here?? Let's not talk about the different fonts I used ( Not that I am good with them now). Anyway I am back into this. I will gradually get into it and write more.

My Birthday Week

The above pics were taken by us at Taboo. My wifey took me out for din-din. Then Taboo it was.

Again my wifey featured, this time she invited me to the Woolworths #JTOnelaunch. It was mad fun with the girls.

And theeeeen, it was our work Christmas party. Boy! did we have fun.

It was a hectic week for me!!! A lot of emotions and a lot of jolling and realising that my body is slowly but surely begging me to stop going overboard on a night out. Two drinks are enough for me, otherwise I will recover the next week if I take it too far.

TO NEW BEGINNINGS!!!!!!
